SQLab 702 Ergonomic Grips
The 702 Comfort Grip was designed for maximum pressure distribution and support during long rides. The extra-large relief wing stabilizes the wrist, reduces pressure peaks, and ensures a natural hand position – ideal for comfort-oriented riding positions.
The perfect fit for a bicycle grip is crucial for comfort and grip safety. The grip width is the measurement from the tip of the middle finger to the crook of the thumb. This is exactly where you enclose the handle. The grip sizes differ in diameter, length and shape.
The Ergobar – a wave-shaped elevation on the underside of the grip – mirrors the natural contour of bent fingers. This creates a defined edge for the fingers to hold onto, ensuring a secure grip even during sudden braking or quick direction changes.
Conventional grips often overload the carpal tunnel exit – causing numbness or tingling in the fingers. SQlab pressure mapping shows: up to 80% of peak pressure hits this sensitive zone. SQlab grips are shaped to avoid it. Pressure drops to under 40% – and even lower with the 702. The result: reduced nerve stress, fewer symptoms, and lasting comfort on long rides.
